How it began- August 30th 2021

Before starting my independent study I could not decide whether I wanted to study anesthesiology or cinematography. After closer consideration I figured that I could do one Junior year and one Senior year to get a more in depth analysis of both career fields. I have taken two photography classes that gave me a look into a professional photographer's life. In my photojournalism class we had a project where we made a video full of pictures we have taken and a voiceover of the person we photographed and I thought that was fascinating. This sparked my interest in cinematography and I began researching cinematography skills that help captivate audiences. Through the ISM course I have already learned about time management and how to start networking through LinkedIn. We had our first speech in ISM where we got to explain our topic of study which helped me learn how to speak in front of a crowd. "Creativity is intelligence, having fun," this is a quote by Albert Einstein, that inspires me throughout my independent study. Going into these next few weeks I hope to contact a few professionals and schedule an interview with them, so they could answer some questions about how the camera works.
